It didn’t happen all at once…

But everything change. My freshman year of college at Penn State University was a rollercoaster of emotions and expectations that left me in a daze. I was suppose to be a mechanical engineer. I was supposed to be a future 2nd Lieutenant of in the U.S. Air Force. I was supposed to want those things, until I realized that I was living someone else’s life.

Perhaps societal or parental pressure had got the best of me, but all I knew was that I couldn’t continue on like this which began my journey. I found myself drawn to the beautiful stories and art in the films that I have loved since I was a child. Rather than just watch them I was on a quest to make them and this is where you find me today...

I am currently a freelance photographer and videographer as a means to fund my latest films. In the future, I hope to create feature films along side my sibling, John Nickolaus, that inspire people to think deeply about the world, feel for one another, and find their own story.
